However, despite this seclusion and natural beauty, the community is almost directly at the southeast corner of Highway 281 and Loop 410. This provides quick travel times to the rest of Greater San Antonio, without sacrificing a bit of peace and quiet. The schools district is currently looking at constructing more schools since attendance in the district has risen over the past three years.  In the most recent Texas Education Agency evaluation the district performed admirably and was awarded the rating of “Recognized.  An analysis of how individual schools performed shows that  half  of the schools in the district  were “Recognized”, while 16.7% were “Academically Acceptable” and 33.3% were not rated.
